Well, finally it has happened to me, a real job! a real career! for real! lol!!!
About 7 months ago I applied at the steelmills for utility persons. I have done testing each month, multiple interviews, and all kinds of physicals- but I did it, I made it in!
I am one of 40 that have been hired, out of 1200 applicants. Out of those 40, 4 women- go go me!! This is so totally huge and going to change my life! I started this past monday, but I am going threw all the touring, looking, showing, movie watching, saftey learning stuff. I am going to work in the Hot Strip Mill- which means I take slabs of steel and make them into big huge round coils that you see on trucks on the highway!
I went from a really crummy paying job to all this benifits, it is totally amazing. Free medic! *grasps heart* for the whole family! pension plans, 401k, profit sharing, unions, incentive bonus's. Plus the pay is AMAZING. I will never eat mac-n-cheese again! Roman noodles will not be the meal! (maybe a side dish, man I love those noodles).
Now I gotta warn ya, I am bringing sexy back- imagine this trollup with all her hair in a hardhat all day, grease, oil, sweat. Oh yeah... total turn on. Good thing I gotta man- this is not the look I was going for, rofl!
So- thats whats been happening with me! woohoo, I finally did it and landed the job. I plan on being there until I retire!
